VIA 02: Stop Animal Cruelty @ Edgefield Secondary

Greetings! We are a VIA team from Edgefield Secondary and we have partnered up with Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). SPCA is an organisation which aims to help the abandoned and abused animals in Singapore.

Singapore is a well-developed country with well-educated citizens. But would you be surprised that there are still a huge number of reported cases about Singaporeans abusing animals per year? Based on SPCA, they stated that they have received an average of 80-90 reports of alleged cruelty to animals every month, which means that there are about 1020 cases of alleged cruelty in a year! Isn’t it shocking to be hearing this coming from a first-world country?

The moment our group heard about that news, we felt strongly that we needed to raise awareness about this and let more people know about this to prevent more animals from suffering. As a team, we decided to raise funds for SPCA by the sales of merchandises. We hope that this could serve as an aid from them to be able to help to save more animals especially during this COVID-19 period.

As such, we hope that you can show your support in our fundraising by purchasing our merchandise in the e-Shop. This can help spread awareness for this meaningful project!
